Sometimes referred to as a sonicator or cavitator, an ultrasonic cleaner is a cleaning instrument that combines the power of ultrasound (sonic wave) and cleaning solution to wash delicate or hard to clean items. Keep in mind that the use of ultrasonics without cleaning fluid will not be effective.
Ultrasonic cleaners are often employed in cleaning:
- Dental and surgical equipment
- Industrial parts and electronic equipment (such as a PCB)
- Jewelery such as necklaces, bracelets, and even precious rings.
- Eyeglasses, lenses and other optical items; watch and clock accessories
- Weapons such as a handgun or gun accessories
- Your collectible items such as a fountain pens, fine china, or coins.
- Even dentures, window blinds and mini blinds!
