The Ultra filter Water Purifier uses thousands of ultra filtration hollow fiber membrane strands. Each membrane strand contains billions of microscopic pores. Facility water pressure pushes water molecules through these pores towards the hollow center of the membrane, while blocking out larger contaminants such as bacteria, parasites and viruses.

How will the Ultra-filter clean my water?

When the water enters the Ultra-filter chamber it is forced through tiny holes that are .01 micron in size. As the water is pushed through the fibers they capture everything bigger than the hole size including: Virus, Bacteria, chemicals, and other harmful contaminants.

Does the Ultra-filter have a self-clean function?

Until now, .01 micron filters were unusable because of how easily they would clog and users would see reduced water flow after only 3-4 weeks of use. The Chanson Water® Ultra-filter has a self-flushing system which prevents clogging and extends the life of the filter. When the main faucet is turned on the contaminants are flushed down the drain.

How long will the Ultra-filter and the other filters last?

The Ultra-Filter will last 2-3 years before it needs to be replaced compared to other .01 filters that last 6-8 months. Because of its anti-bacterial properties the Chanson Ultra-filter can be used in times of emergency when bacterial concerns can cause the city to issue a “boil first” warning. The Ultra-filter can clean and purify water in these circumstances as well as process raw lake water.
